Dr. Eugenio Jimenez de Castro is the owner of Acupuncture of Northern Westchester PLLC with offices in Mt Kisco and White Plains, NY.
Originally from Cuba, Dr. de Castro received his medical degree from the Medical University of Santiago, where he also completed a residency program in Orthopedics and Trauma Medicine. While practicing as an orthopedic surgeon in Santiago, he began studying acupuncture and complementary medicine. After coming to the United States, Dr. de Castro received a Bachelor of Professional Studies and a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, where he was also employed as a faculty member for the Superior Western Medical Sciences. He also successfully completed advanced coursework in acupuncture for physicians at Harvard Medical School and the Yamamoto New Scalp Acupuncture method in Japan.
Dr de Castro is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is licensed in New York State as both an Acupuncturist and a Specialist Assistant in Orthopedics. In addition, he is a former faculty member of the State University of New York/Westchester Community College, the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in New Jersey, and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, NY. He passed the corresponding examinations of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates in 2004.
